I understand how to use the x and y points and to have the . and , to choose which frame to edit, but could someone give a more detailed explaination of how to make it actually precise? What does the x and y coordinates in the item menu do? I tried placing the little point for each frame on the person's hand, but it still ends up being off. Details please?

If you're using Tirgoviste, get a Nightly.

If you're using a Nightly, you need to set both the hero and item coordinates. In battle, Game will move the weapon sprite so that it's handle point lines up with the hero's hand point.

So you set the handle points and the hand points and it should align?

Because I set it at the handles and hands but it still is significantly off :?

there is still something wrong with weapon placement. I can't get it to line up perfectly in my own tests eaither, but I haven't had time to dig into exactly why yet. I have been very distracted lately :)

Man, that code makes me want to cry.

With tears of blood.

And fire.

But, yeah. I really want to rewrite it, but that would break compatability (if only graphically)

If you set the weapons at the default point that it originally used to be set, the weapons are fine. I don't know squat about programming, but I think if you reset the weapon to originally position at 0,0 if no coordinates are set, it can be fixed, because the weapon placement is just fine in older games where no points have been set and hero and weapons are aligned to meet without the usage of coordinate points to change where it is set.

That's the thing. If (0,0) is default, then there's no way to differentiate between "old game/not using this" and "positioned at (0,0)", which are two different things.

...unless 0,0 IS the default position, where -x,-y is the minimum.
