After reading the news section about those two idiots longeotek
or whatever they're called, something dawned on me....

If you use notepad to edit a .rpg file and type any characters where
they're not supposed to be you get a .rpg file that looks fine. but when
run with game it states the .rpg file is obsolete. and the screen stays
black.

now imagine this scenario: A trouble maker downloads a large .rpg
file, renames it. Screws it up with notepad and makes up a fake user
name. With the help of a fake titlescreen graphic, they're in!
EATING away at the sites bandwidth better than ever.

I'm just hoping those two idiots aren't reading this.

Well, unless I'm mistaken, CP has excessive amounts of bandwidth, and if such a game were uploaded it would quickly be discovered and deleted. It doesn't sound like it'd be too much of a problem.

Not to mention since it's IN A ZIP FILE, you could upload anything that was a large file. If anyone did decide to do that, they'd probably (i.e. hopefully) get banned right off the bat.

well I thought that people would do that kinda thing cause maybe they
dislike Talking cats with glasses or just have a grudge on the ohr in
general. You have to remember, as soon as I registered I saw the
news on the main page. Knowing what I new about .rpg files I decided
to tell the Ohr world just in case.

Some people on the internet are just sad anyway, I thought by telling
you guys that you could know the enemy before he stabs you in the
dark. Not that I keep a dagger under my pillow or anything.

Keep you informed if I find anything of interest about this strange
thing.

I find it amusing that the very person who asks why people would
hack ohr files is making a game called 'hack ohr'.

Perhaps we are even now, considering I thought you were male!

Secondly, how often have you been to Wal-Mart, EB Games, or any other gaming store and have seen .hack//INFECTION or .hack//MUTATION, or have you not seen .hack//SIGN?

If not, then I will enlighten you. It's an anime/game series based in an online RPG world. That is what .hack//OHR is based off of. It is my OHR interpretation of the game/anime.
