Is there any way you can remove every wav/mp3 format song on the playlist? Try it. Just trust me. |
I'll have to wait until I'm home from work, but I'll gladly try it.
I still want to do a fresh install. Not being able to run OpenGL has made debugging a real hassle and I'd love to get that resolved. _________________

Actually, it would work better if you could flag MP3/wavs that don't translate to AM radio quality well. |

I think that bad translation was my failed attempt to set up a half working mp3 server that ran on the linux machine. It's much more tempermental than winamp, but at least I could control it remotely.
I reformatted last night and it fixed quite a few problems. For the first time in a long time, the monitor actually turned off after 10 minutes of screensaver. Up until now, it would just turn black but would still remain on, glowing throughout the night.
One thing I forgot to do was check string output from winamp. Until I fix that tonight, the random songs list will be blank. The server ran all night without crashing. Hopefully it'll last the rest of the day and I can call it fixed.

Edit: After listening at work, seems the way I muted the sound also muted MP3 playback. midis and wav seems to play at normal volume with brief periods of silence. I haven't heard an MP3 song I recognize, which is why I assume it's the MP3 playback causing the silence.
Edit: OK...so MP3 playback is also working, meaning I don't know why there is occassional segments of silence. I'll have to get the song listing working again to figure out what songs are playing when the silence occurs. _________________

Did you have the corresponding option set in the power management dialog? _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

I did. And that's why after 10 minutes of screensaver, the screensaver would turn off and the screen would go black. But, it wouldn't set the monitor to standby. _________________
