Well, I was awesome enough to read through this entire thread. You certainly have improved pretty drastically, but I have a few suggestions.
1. Instead of crayon, which makes it hard to distinguish shading, try colored pencil.
2. The anatomy. You're making some of the lines really really straight, like abdomens and arms, which should be a bit more curved. And work on your breasts, boy!
3. Try out some new hairstyles. Yours are all very spikey and unrealistic looking. |

Kupo! I was feeling down while I was drawing this picture, so to perk me up a bit I drew a little moogle attenae on her head, and that's why I beat off to this picture.
I was practicing lady anatomy more. Sorry guys, I still haven't downloaded and porno anatomy references. |

I've forwarded that picture to Squaresoft. God willing they'll have a crack Yakuza assasination squad en route right quick. Please stand still, and don't assume a false identity or move or anything that would make this hard. _________________ The turkey: God's most noble creature.

Torso still needs to be less stubby. Something about the face seems strange too. I daresy the rim of her nose is too close to the eyes, but I guess this is just a recessive trait. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

It's everybody's favourite Asian-French, American-accented, homosexual, and tough toonphiliac... Nigel!
One of the big problems is this chin, so I am asking that you help me with this terrible dilemma. The dilemma of th chin.
In this picture I positioned the arm differently realizing a mistake I made in the past. I also realized that I need to practice my asian eyes.
Also, some hero spriting:

The chin seems ok to me, though he doesn't come across asian.
About your sprite, I like the shading and the pose. Reminds me of a Megaman 7 sprite X)
PS: Your interpetation of a moogle is creepy. ..kupo. |

I wasn't suggesting you go out and buy a Hustler magazine or anything, but drawing people in clothes only teaches you how to draw clothes, not people. Someone can tell you exctly what is 'wrong' with a certain drawing
of yours...the arms are too long, or whatever...and that may tell you how to make THAT drawing better, but every subject in every drawing is different. The key is an understanding of human anatomy and proportion,
and that's really hard to grasp with a trial-and-error approach. _________________ 'I imagine that imagination is more important than knowledge, but I don't know.' |

The chin: The line is too curved, I would suggest squaring the chin a bit.
Like this:
Also, your character's upper back sticks out too much. Try to shrink it down a bit.
Other than that, I think you have improved a lot. Keep 'em coming.
The image I have posted does not belong to me, it belongs to Eggie and was used as an example ONLY! Hello! I'm back after a good *starts counting on fingers* March, April, May, June, July, August... haffa year and, boy oh boy, do I still suck!
But, my burning rage... my burning rage to improve shall not be tamed so easily! For their are times when one must rest and one must draw, and I haven't done either. I have been pixelating... this:
This is Edgar "Eggie" Stulrex, a spiky-haired protagonist, which is less original than the 2005 remake of Yours, Mine, and Ours. He's a very forward fighter, so his stance, I believe, is fitting. He is my persona.
(I want his hair and his jacket.)
Note: This sprite is based off of X's (Mega Man X, Mega Man X 2, Mega Man X 3) sprite.
This is Yikumi. She's not too enthusiastic about fighting, so I think it is fitting that she doesn't look completely ready to fight.
Note: This sprite is based off of Terra's (Final Fantasy III (US) / VI (JP)) sprite. |

It's kind of obvious that the first is based off MMX. The hair is absolutely ridiculous, almost to the point of parody. The second isn't obviously Terra, which is good, but her hair is the same color as her shirt which makes her hard to look at. Also, her graphical style is way different from the first's. Are you putting them in the same game? They can't look good side by side.
The top left forehead pixel on the top sprite is really weird without the hair there. It looks like his forehead is poking out.
[rant] On a completely unrelated note, when can we stop saying FF3US, FF6j, and so on? FF3 is coming out in the US soon, meaning our collection will be complete, and FF4 and FF6 have been re-released under those titles. [/rant] _________________

I thought that she had brown hair, and that pink was just some crescent shaped hoodie. with a spike of hair stabbing out the middle of it (?) |
