Oh-ho, you're not just a stick. You're one of the final bosses! You have the power to send various objects (arrows, swords, meteors) falling from the sky onto the party. How awesome is that.
And yes, Sparrowhawk, you can use Alchemy (you don't clap your hands, at least not until the OHR supports enemy animations  ). You also drop a Philosopher's stone after being defeated. And I haven't decided yet, but you might become a party member. (Then you could clap your hands.)

Ok, now that's hitting a new low. I don't use Jesus' name like that (it is offensive and a disgrace to his name), and I would never commit suicide (even if I was somewhat emo). If I had a gun and I wanted to use it, it would be pointed at Vilgarmander for self defense.

So I'm a random Mayan guy... no problem there.
But, hopefully I'm a random NPC who just stands there and says "Fnrrf Ygm Schnish!" if you talk to him and doesn't do anything else, and after a certain point in the game just disappears and is never mentioned again by anyone (including the game's credits).
Or maybe I could sell armor/weapons that are really powerful (and expensive)... but then nobody in the game can actually equip them, so if you buy any you just waste a ton of money. "Numnum Sword," "Scud Goggles," "Fnrrf Armor," "Garbanzo Shield," etc.
Definitely not a boss or a party member--having me actually join up with anyone (whether it's the bad guys or the good guys) would make no sense whatsoever. |

And to PHC... You can keep telling me my game is going to suck, or you could just take Moogle's advice. I think it's good advice. |

The thing is, PHC is one of about three people who will actually play your game. Moreover, he's right.
The difference is that Newbie_Power wants to be accurately represented, whereas PHC knows no one will be and realizes you've created a contest so you can win it yourself.

| Wait, everyone thinks this is for the contest? Why the fuck would I do that? This is going to be an actual game, I won't have it finished by December 10th and there will be no demo. I enjoy winning contests, but not enough to just start a random contest and then enter it with my own game. When I said I might be entering my own contest, I had the They Hunger demo in mind. But that isn't going to happen. And yes, I understand PHC is right, he usually is right. But I didn't just start a contest so I could win it. I may be a dumbass but I'm not that fucking retarded. And the fact that the game and the contest have the exact same name was only an after-thought I had after I decided to make a community game. So now that I have that cleared out, Val's Community Chest the game and Val's Community Chest Contest have nothing in common aside from their names. So there. |
