Question, is there a good way to test out walkabout animations in the sprite editor? i.e. Is it possible to have a button that lets you switch directly between two frames in the sprite editor, like between frames 0 and 1 on a walkabout? |

Hero editor and NPC placement are the only two, I think. _________________

I'm not a big fan of checking walkabout animations through the hero editor. The walkabouts there always walk around your hero sprite, whereas the walkabouts in the game walk in place while the map moves around them.
On an unrelated note, pressing '3' in a sprite editor shows you a garbage screen for about five seconds that scared me out of my wits. |

I don't think there's anything better than pasting the two frames near opposite ends of the spriteset browser and pressing home/end rapidly.
Previewing animations and keys to switch directly from one frame to the next is a planned feature for both the new spriteset browser and the rewritten/reworked sprite editor. Actually... I had expected the new spriteset browser to be functional by now, maybe I should get back to that I don't keep promises _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
