Well, I'm assuming you've already played a few OHR games, and you understand how the game part of the engine works, so...
I'd recommend reading the How-To tutorials at the wiki, or better yet, just messing with the system, and pressing F1 when you need help.
After you make a map, a character, some dialogue, battles, stuff that uses tags, shops, etc, you should jump right into the plotscripting tutorial.
The beauty of the OHR is that you can make a full game without coding or programming. But, to make more outstanding games, you'll really need to learn how to plotscript. And trust me, to do the basic stuff, It's almost too easy! :) |

Yeah Shadows, I guess it's a lot easier for you to tell me on a forum than at break. But good information anyway. |

Oh, yes. If you find any place where the F1 help is confusing or unclear, let us know. Feedback from new users is helpful for improving the help. |

Ok I'm going in order of the things on the menus (starting with graphics then going to map data) anyways I was in general map data and i came across script augment. What does this mean that a script is augmented? |

Speaking of the function key. F1 while in Custom yields empty dialogue fields. (In the current stable version that is) _________________ Campaigning to change the name of OHRRPGCE to Orph anage, because it's just better and easier to pronounce!

Hmm... That sounds like a problem!
I just checked it out, and it looks like I accidentally left out the ohrhelp directory in the Debian/Ubuntu packages.
I have fixed it for tonight's nightly WIP builds, and the fix will be included in the next stable update. |

it is a mystery to everyone!
The next big stable update (Zenzizenzic) is an unknown distance away. We have not even decided what new features will go into it.
There will be a stable mini-update (Ypsiliform+3) probably as soon as we fix '' . bug_title('826') . '', but I can't guess how long that will take.
If you don't want to wait for the help files, but you want to stick with the stable release, you can download this zip file and extract the "ohrhelp" folder into your home directory. |

...I could...I could... but I'm lazy
I'll look forwards to that mini update. _________________ Campaigning to change the name of OHRRPGCE to Orph anage, because it's just better and easier to pronounce!

What?! I'm still calling it "Zoidberg", if you don't mind too much. |
