To some degree yes, for a self inflicted berserk attack, have a spell that links to an endless chain of attacks.
For the enemy to do this to the heroes, have the attack set a tag that makes your normal attack 100% instead chain to a random focus attack, and then reserve another tag for berserk that attaches to the else chain.
The way mentioned above also means that it won't reset between battles, so you could have an item that toggles those tags on/off.

IMO use the Ctr stat instead (if stat < or > # when chaining) so that you won't have to jump through hoops to see WHICH hero is the one that's berserked. _________________
